View your LMS on your mobile devices! (Blackboard Mobile Learn)

Have you heard of the university’s latest creation?!

You can now download an app to view the LMS on your phone, tablet, ipad…you name it! (if you don’t know what the LMS is, check out my previous post here). It is a faster way to access your LMS, and you can also access the lecture recordings through the app too!

But we have been advised that there are some things that you can’t do on with this LMS app such as submitting your assignments, uploading documents and such.

My thoughts on the new app?

I think it will be super convenient to access information when you’re on the run, but it’s too soon to tell! I’ve put together a little gallery at the bottom of this post for you to have a look

Any news on when the LMS will be activated?

A little bird has told me a date…from February 22nd onwards. (heavy emphasis on ‘FROM’) LMS will be switched on from that date, but keep in mind it’s your subject coordinators you need to contact if there’s any issues with this.

Where can I get the app?

Click here for Andriod, and here for Apple

Enjoy!

Should all subjects that I’ve registered in be on my Blackboard already by this time? I have only 3 subjects on Blackboard, however, on my timetable, I’m registered in 4 subjects. Is delay a possibility?

Hi there! Yes, you are correct! Although majority of the subject’s LMS were activated today, there may be a delay to some subjects being activated on the LMS! It’s may be due to a number of reasons such as the subject coordinator hasn’t set up their LMS yet, or maybe your subject doesn’t have an LMS! (But it is very very rare for a subject not to have an LMS)

I wouldn’t worry about it too much at the moment, but if I were you – I would email the subject coordinator just to ask when they will be activating the LMS for the subject.

You can access or subject coordinator’s email address though the handbook.

      Hope this helps!
