Okay, can I just start by saying how amazing the VCESS program is!

VCESS is short for VCE Summer School. (And VCE standing for Victorian Certificate of Education). VCESS it’s a 2 week program to support high school students that are disadvantaged or come from under-represented schools. It’s basically 2 weeks of classes run by volunteers, but the program also includes lots of fun activities, workshops, and excursions etc.!

I volunteered for the first time last summer, and it was the best! It was so much fun, met lots of amazing people, plus – all very rewarding! I tutored Unit 3/4 Psychology, and decided to teach all my classes using cat memes!

p.s. If you do decide to volunteer for VCESS, try to get those 2 full weeks off work because you’ll want to be there for every second of it!

Don’t be worried if you are afraid of taking a class, there will be training involved, and lots of other tutors who can help you!

Applications close TODAY! (Fri 23 Aug)
