How do I re-enrol?

h3785BB54

It’s time to re-enrol!

So, there’s 2 parts with re-enrolling. First part = you need to submit a enrolment declaration. Second part = you need to enrol into subjects for next year.

Don’t forget that you can always change subjects until the census date which is ages away. Try to enrol into subjects that you will most likely do. The main reason why, is so that the subject coordinators can get a rough number of people who will be doing the subject, and start planning where to book lecture theatres, prac class sizes etc. So here is a tutorial to how to re-enrol!

Click on the ‘re-enrol here’ on the portal

Then it will pop up with a green thing saying that your declaration has been successfully submitted

Have a look at the handbook, and see what subject you’re interested in. If you are having trouble selecting subjects, head down to your student centre and they can help you out. It’s always tricky to know what pre-reqs you need to do for your major, getting the credit points right etc. In this example, I will be enrolling into ZOOL30006 Animal Behaviour (which I have very very high hopes for this subject because this is what I want to specialise in. PLEASE BE GOOD!). As the first number of the subject code is 3, this is considered as a Level 3 subject. And because this subject is going towards my major, it falls under the ‘Major’ category.

Click on “choose”

Type in the subject code and hit search

Okay – sometimes you may not be able to find your subject when you type in the subject code. If you can’t find your subject, type in just the letters of the subject code. E.g. ZOOL. Or leave it completely blank (this is called a blank search). And hopefully it will pop up. IF IT STILL DOESN’T COME UP – you may need to pay your student centre a visit and they will manually enrol you into that subject. If you’re an Arts student having trouble with enrolment , you can submit an online enrolment form – head here, and scroll down to enrolment issues.

Click ‘Add to Study Planner’

Then ‘save changes’

You’re not done yet!

On the study plan it under the subject title, it says ‘planned’. So now you need to actually enrol into your subject (I know, it’s a bit silly)

Tick the boxes next to your subject Screen Shot 2013-10-27 at 7.37.30 pm

Scroll down and click ‘continue to enrol’

Screen Shot 2013-10-27 at 7.37.44 pmClick on ‘confirm enrolment’

Now – you may have trouble with confirming the enrolment. The most common reason is because you are still doing the prereqs for that particular subject next year (you haven’t finished the subject yet). So, once you’ve finished your exams and got your results – come back and enrol.

Click on ‘return to my study plan’

And you’re done! It should say ‘enrolled’ :) Screen Shot 2013-10-27 at 7.38.52 pm

Still have questions?

Check out the new enrolment website for the official info! There’s a lot of info on there, it gives you the complete run down of everything. Do check it out if you need a hand.

There’s also re-enrolment video – which is hilarious! Especially at 1:16 – HA! And love the comment someone left (see below)

So yes – deadline to re-enrol is 13 December, fine is $100 if you don’t re-enol by then. And p.s. I do love the colours on the study plan. At first I thought the colours were for the different levels, but they’re for completed, current, and future subjects. Good one!

I hope this blog post has helped you!
